It is presently 8:45AM, Sunday morning. The previously reported Red-necked Phalarope is spinning around in a feeding frenzy, taking flight often, making it hard to keep track of it. The colorful little guy is located in Wayne County, north of the town of Shreve on the southwest corner of SR226 and Kister Road, opposite the Wright Marsh parking lot. Other shorebirds present are Lesser Yellowlegs, Semipalmated Plover, Dunlin, and Spotted Sandpiper. Sandhill Cranes can be heard to the east.

Bob and Denise Lane / Mahoning County
