Yesterday I was doing some surveys at our Lake Erie Bluffs Park in Painesville/Perry Townships in Lake County. I heard a call I immediately recognized as fish crow. I saw three crows flying east along the shoreline all giving the characteristic fish crow. I was able to get several shots of the birds as they flew by. I posted a couple shots at rarebird.org.

Looking at the photos, the Cornell website says that in fish crow, P9 is greater than or equal to P5 and in American crow P5 is decidedly longer. To me P9 looks longer on these shots. Any thoughts from anyone? here's a link to the Cornell article

I also had at least 3 mourning warblers, 1 Connecticut, all the flycatchers except phoebe. There were at least three chats on territory and one white-eyed vireo.
