I spent a pleasant morning along the river on the Eldon Russell Nature
Trail....a place I rarely go to. (Which I will change.)   It was quite
undisturbed, even on this warm Saturday, until
after 11 when the canoes and kayaks started arriving.

I had good looks at the  Prothonatary warblers,
sorting out who gets which nest jar. (At least two
were wearing little bracelets in different colours.)
Also a Blackburnian, a Chestnut Sided and a Yellow.

Several blue grey gnatcatchers, a couple of warbling
vireos and at least one yellow-throated vireo.

And, particularly delightful, my first opportunity to
see a brown creeper at it's nest.  He was carrying a
wormy thing, and flitted from tree to tree before finally approaching
the nest, concealed in a tree with lots of loose bark.

Also three rusty blackbirds, one male and two females, singing
constantly.  A lovely trio.
