A breeding plumaged RUFF is being reported from a closed area of Ottawa NWR. But, this week Ottawa is offering free bus tours to Cedar Point NWR as well as to closed areas of Ottawa NWR. So, if are going to be in NW Ohio any time this week, you might want to check out these great bus tours being offered by Ottawa. Click on the link below. You do need to register, however. Spaces might become real limited, if the RUFF continues!! Some tours might already be full.

We went on one of these tours about ten days ago and had a Worm-eating Warbler and a Franklin's Gull. One never knows what goodies might be discovered. I'm glad that we already have our reservation for tomorrow afternoon for the Blue Goose Bus Tour which is advertised to go wherever in the closed areas there are interesting birds to see!
