A disappointing morning for me on the boardwalk at Magee Marsh.  Many more birders present than birds, with several large tour groups searching and very full parking lots.  After two hours, I saw only 28 species including 5 warblers.  Easily my worst results here over the past 20 years.  Was also surprised by the large number of downed trees, apparently the result of insect containment and storms.  I'm sure others had much better results than me, especially the many guides who kindly assisted anyone who asked for help.

Stopped briefly at Killdeer Plains.  The highlight of the whole day while scanning pond 3 near the intersection of CH-71 and TH-123 was hearing two barred owls calling to each other in the middle of the day!  They sounded pretty close and it went on for about five minutes.
