Despite not getting an early start and dealing w/the detours to get to Glacier Ridge, I had a productive late morning.

I was delighted by Bobolinks displaying some & calling as well as E Meadowlarks. There were a number a singing Grasshopper Sparrows. A v streaky juvenile caused some head-scratching but I finally decided it was a juve Grasshopper not a Henslow's.

Only other sparrows Song & Field.

I heard a pheasant call then startled a female w/at least 6 poults. Great looks at the female while she made a loud chipping call which I presume was to round up her scattered chicks.

Also had a close flyby Green Heron. Only raptor of note was a kestrel.

Willow FCs were heard & seen but I dipped on dickcissel. A couple E Bluebirds.
