Greetings,

Started the day at Russia Township Nature Preserve, Lorain County just North of Oberlin, which has been hosting some amazing birds this summer. Savannah sparrows have been outstanding over the last few weeks but today I was thrilled by my first view of a bobolink in many years! Fantastic bird. Meadowlarks, a brilliant male muscovy duck on the pond, cedar waxwings and many Canadian geese and Mallard Duck babies. The meadow is full of swallows, bluebirds and even a flicker made an appearance. A great place to take a deep breathe and take it all in.
Happy Birding
dorothy
