Today from 8:30 am to 10:45 am, the shorebirding was a little slow. The highlight was a pair of fly-by avocets. They circled the sandspit three times and then moved on.

Also seen today:

Bald Eagles-14
Turkey Vulture-14
Osprey-1
Belted kingfisher-2
Least Sandpiper-5
Killdeer-2
Spotted Sandpiper-2
Lesser Yellowlegs-1
and many swallows.

Waterfowl and gulls were in really small numbers.
