Hello all,

There's one unit at Willow Point WA in Erie County that's becoming more favorable for shorebirds. It's the unit just to the NE of the Fish Work Unit garages. Park there and walk back the gravel drive to the right of the garage and up onto the dike to the east. There will be a break in the phrags that you can look through. It's a little unbearable out here now with heat indices in the low 100s and not much of a breeze.

I just tallied the following:

Killdeer, 17+
Spotted Sandpiper, 5
Least Sandpiper, 3
Semi Sandpiper, 15
Stilt Sandpiper, 4
Short-billed Dowitcher, 33
Am. Woodcock, 1 flyby midday

Good birding and stay cool,
Justin
