Greetings - Yesterday I was checking out the "Crib cam" on the "5 mile Crib" - which is actually 3 miles offshore Cleveland (main water intake). Barn Swallows, Herring Gulls, Ring-billed Gulls, and Chimney Swifts were evident flybys. Into the evening Chuck Slusarczyk Jr. and Charles Owens were watching huuundreds of swifts swirling through the camera view. Is the Cleveland Crib a Chimney Swift roost? We're hoping to get out there to document yes/no, how, and how many. Swifts are also staging at Burke Lakefront Airport, where I had 800 on July 14, over the runways. Check out the Crib cam:
