July 15, 10:30-10:35 a.m.
I was sitting on our back porch and observed a Black-capped Chickadee that perched between two planters on the a porch railing and took a 5-minute nap.

A Black-capped Chickadee slept on a hook on our back porch, departing soon after I heard a cardinal calling.
July 21, mid-afternoon
When I got home from work on Monday, my sister related seeing a chickadee landing on the screen on one of our porch doors, looking inside the house, moving to a nearby chair and preening for 10-15 minutes.
July 22, 8:50 p.m. to July 23, 6:02 a.m. (photos)
This morning I watched "my" chickadee wake-up again. It ignored calls of jays, robins and cardinals between 5:45-6. What got its attention were barking dogs and someone yelling at them two houses towards the railroad tracks. At 6:02 a.m. the chickadee preened for a few seconds and flew-off to start its day.
