I finally got down to the lakefront today at 3:45pm and saw the pelican Jen
has been reporting (http://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/).  The two
pictures of the bird preening and standing were from the edge of the marina
at Wendy Park, looking NE.  The picture of the bird resting was taken from
the Old Coastguard Station.  It's a long way from either spot for a 400mm
lens on a windy day!  Sorry about the quality but at least I have pics for
my eBird entry tonight!
