Sorry to post so late. On the road, updates are difficult.
Yesterday evening at Pipe Creek Wildlife Area, there were was a snowy
egret amongst 15 great egrets on the trail to pools B & C on the left side
by the causeway.
In Middle Harbor this morning a wide variety of shorebirds, including
several hundred peeps coming and going from 7 am until 10 am.
Briefly saw a red knot at Camp Perry Beach at 11:15 am. The bird did not
appear to be comfortable due to the shooting and the wind blowing onto the
beach. Bird was in the NW corner and after about 20 mins, starting
calling distinctively and then flew west.
At 1 PM in Magee Marsh, in the estuary at the end of the Estuary trail,
the juvenile Little Blue Heron was present in the NW corner preening
itself on the willows.
