Greetings,

I took a little drive over to the beach at Alum Creek SP this morning (2
Aug 2013) to see if yesterday's American Avocet and Sanderling were still
around. There were already lots of people using the beach by 10:40 a.m.
when I got there, so I didn't have high hopes. The avocet was nowhere to be
found, but the adult Sanderling was sticking it out even with lots of
people running up and down the beach. In addition, the Common Loon was near
the dam and a Caspian Tern was loafing with the 241 Ring-billed Gulls.

Good birding,

Joe Hammond
Columbus, OH
