I just wanted to report that I saw a pair of American Avocets at Englewood
Dam in Montgomery County on Wednesday night (7/31). I'm sorry for the late
report but I am new to shorebirds and just now uploaded my pictures and
identified it (with help from more experienced birders).  I am also new to
Englewood Dam but these are the directions that a friend gave me to get to
the area where the birds were sighted ..."Follow signs to patty shelter but
instead of taking the curve to the right make a hard left and follow down to
the water."
