Hello all,

A massive grass/ sod field off SR 590, just 0.5 mi. S of SR 2 nr. Ottawa NWR on the E side of 590, was cut within the week and is looking promising for "grass pipers" at the moment. There's a nice pull-off where you can park.

Among roughly 450 Killdeer I just picked up 1 adult Western Willet and 2 breeding-plumaged Black-bellied Plovers. It looks excellent for Upland Sandpiper but I've not detected any yet this afternoon.

Good birding,
Justin Bosler
