I birded around Pickerington Ponds this morning and found 2 Sedge Wrens singing in Arrowhead Marsh, the large area adjacent to the Glacier Knoll parking area. They could be heard intermittently from the Masters Overlook. Otherwise, high water levels made the Ponds largely unproductive except for egrets. I also visited nearby Chatterton greenbelt (also high water) and Portman Park. Notables included:

Pied-billed grebe - 1 was at Teal Pond in Pick Ponds
Great Egrets - 10 were scattered around Pick Ponds, and another 3 were at Chatterton Greenbelt wetlands
Flycatchers - a few Willow Flycatchers were still around Pick Ponds, but none were calling. An Acadian was still calling in the Chatterton Greenbelt, where 3-4 spent the summer
Swallows - Pick Ponds had modest #s, with 30+ Rough-winged, 20+ Barns, and 3-4 Purple Martins
Sedge Wrens - 2 were in the Arrowhead marsh area
Gnatcatchers - no great #s, but 2-3 were at every stop
Thrushes - 1 Wood was still singing at the Chatterton greenbelt
Warblers - Common Yellowthroats were still widespread & singing at Pick Ponds. A Yellow-br.Chat was still calling along the Meadowlark Trail there
