I had a Blue Grosbeak singing northwest of the Audubon Center at Scioto Audubon MetroPark this morning. It was first singing in a cottonwood along the river, but then moved to another one along the old road NW of the center. This is a spot where they've been located 2 of the last 3 years, so there's something about it they like. I also stopped at Haul Rd, Berliner Park, and Confluence Park. Water level was very high so shorebirds were almost nil (Kildeer & Spotted Spr). Other notables included:

Cormorants - 6-8 were in the bay above the Greenlawn dam
Great Egrets - 4 were above the Green lawn dam and 1 was below it. There were similar #s of Great Blue Herons.
Green Heron - 1 flew north up the Olentangy River at Confluence Park
Osprey - 2 were at Haul Rd ponds, while an adult was dropping fish to a squealing juvenile in the Scioto Audubon nest
Flickers - 2 were at Scioto Audubon and another 2 were at Berliner, high numbers for here
Flycatchers - nothing beyond the expected Pewees and a few Willow Flycatchers. 2 E.Kingbirds were still at the Haul Rd ponds.
Swallows - mostly absent, except for 20 Barns around Scioto Audubon. 2 Rough-wings were down along the river in Berliner Park.
Vireos - a few singing Warbling were at Scioto Audubon (2) and Berliner (2), while single Red-eyed were at each of those spots as well
Gnatcatchers - fiarly good #s, with 10-12 at all sites; Scioto Audubon alone had 8 along the bikepath.
Thrushes - nothing other than Robins
Mimids - lots of Catbirds at all stops; also had Mockingbirds at several spots around Scioto Audubon
Warblers - nothing other than some Common Yellowthroats in the huge phragmites marsh at Haul Rd
Orioles - juvenile Baltimores were at Haul Rd, SCioto Audubon, and Berliner Park
