I went to Villa Angela/Wildwood Parks which are now part of the Euclid Creek Reservation in Cleveland at E. 174th & Lakeshore Blvd.  I had not been there for a week.  Yesterday (8/17) Jeanne Hrenko saw six Red-breasted Mergansers huddled together in Euclid Creek on the Wildwood side up from the Lakeshore parking area before they took flight.  I did not see them today.  I was there from noon to 4pm.  Bird activity was slow today.  Then I went up to Villa Angela near the Lake Erie west of the bathhouse, south of the asphalt path near the big oval of grass.  Heard a couple chickadees, saw a Black-and-White Warbler, a Yellow Warbler, and Chestnut-sided Warbler.  (The Chestnut looked like a first fall female with the yellow-ish/greenish on back and wings, white eye-ring and pale throat and face.  There were also two Red-eyed Vireos.  I started to look like rain so I went to the parking lot to get my rain jacket and returned.  This time they had
all moved to the trees south of the bathhouse, west of the asphalt path (south of where the large tree fell couple yrs ago.  All three warblers were all still together with the chickadees and Red-eyed Vireos and I watched for quite awhile.  Could not get a clear picture of Chestnut-sided just a blurry picture from below but did get the Black & White.

In June Mark Anderson told me he had seen a Black-and-White Warbler down from the woods by Euclid Creek on the Wildwood side.  I never was able to see it myself.  Not sure if this is any part of what I saw today.  Otherwise, I wasn't seeing Yellow Warblers anywhere else in the park today.

Saw approx. 60 Double-crested Cormorants flying west-southwest.
