I just received a call from Bill Kinkead, that he and Jason Simonis are presently on The Conneaut Sandspit, Ashtabula County, with great views of the previously reported Black-headed Gull. It is on the harbor side of the sandspit. They arrived from Columbus, today, Thursday, about 9AM. The reward of their drive was both of them getting a new life bird. They have seen very few shorebirds. As of 9:45AM, the celebrity avian visitor is still hanging out.
