Hi Folks,

11:45 a.m. Sunday the 15th

I just passed (actually stopped and studied) 13 vultures about 100-200 feet
north of Orchard Park Road east of Lexington in the first grassy field west
of where Orchard Park crosses over I-71.

They were feeding on the remnants of an apparently several day old deer
carcass (Serengeti-style) squabbling and chasing each other around.

Included in the flock were 6 mature Turkey Vultures, 1 immature TV, 4 adult
Black Vultures and 1 young Black Vulture . The juveniles still had a lot of
lighter colored, almost downy feathers on their napes.


There is a pulloff on the north side for easy access.
