A beautiful day for our September bird count at Magee Marsh!  Thanks to Aimee and Chris for helping out.  Thanks to Linda, Laura, and Sandra who joined out count today too.
The following 71 species were seen or heard:
Pied-billed grebe, Double-crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Trumpeter Swan, Canada Goose, Wood Duck, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Killdeer, Wilson's Snipe, Great Yellowlegs, Sanderling, Herring Gull, Ring-billed gull, Common Tern, Caspian Tern, Mourning Dove, YB Cuckoo, Chimney Swift, Ruby throated hummingbird, Belted Kingfisher,N. Flicker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy,  E. Phoebe, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, E. Wood Pewee, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Tree Swallow, Bank Swallow, Barn Swallow, Blue Jay, Black-capped Chickadee, Brown Creeper, Marsh Wren, Catbird, Br. Thrasher, Am Robin, Swainson's thrush, Gray-cheeked Thrush, Veery, Cedar Waxwing, E. Starling, Red-eyed vireo, Warbling Vireo, Black and White Warbler, TN Warbler, Nashville, N. Parula, Magnolia, Cape May, BT Green, BT Blue, Blackburnian,  Chestnut-sided, Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, N. Waterthrush, Common Yellowthroat, Wilson's , American Redstart, Red-winged blackbird, Common Grackle, N. Cardinal, Rose-breasted grosbeak, Field Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Am Goldfinch and House Sparrow.
