This morning as Jane and I took our daily hike around our property, on
Flint Ridge in western Muskingum County, at least three white-throated
sparrows were calling near the campfire site. I have heard an occasional
zonotrichid, here and there, since returning from an 8-day California
business trip on the 1st, but this was the first real chorus.

Changing seasons... although lower daytime temperatures and the tree colors
haven't exactly kicked in yet.
