There was some great movement on the lake today. There were a few
shorebirds moving with 3 avocets being the best sighting. There were
several flocks of dunlin. One flock was harassed by a merlin.
This was the first day I have seen many waterfowl. Of note were two surf
scoters and the first red-breasted mergansers of the season. Also of note
was a red-necked grebe sitting on the lake.
