There was a Surf Scoter with two other scoters at Indian Lake State Park. Most likely all were Surf Scoters but just one lifted its wings and they were too distant to get detailed looks at the birds. All were female or immature birds.

Other birds on the water were Mallard, Northern Shoveler, Lesser Scaup, Ruddy Ducks, Pied-billed and Horned Grebes.

Ferguson Reservoir in Lima had Ruddy Ducks, Northern Shoveler, Pied-billed Grebes.

At Bresler reservoir there were American Wigeon, Mallard, Northern Shoveler, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, Pied-billed and Horned Grebes.

There was also either a Franklin’s or Laughing gull. The bird has a mostly gray hood, dark bill, and mantle darker than a Ring-billed. It was sitting on the water too distant to get good looks.

On Williams Reservoir across the road were 7 Common Loons and nearly a thousand Ruddy Ducks.
