Hi all,

The white (probably leucistic) hummingbird previously reported here by Bruce Simpson was seen and photographed this morning by Mary Lou Sima, and she graciously shared her images with me. I have posted them, along with some more information, on my blog: http://jimmccormac.blogspot.com/

I can’t tell what species it is, and it’ll probably take some pretty tight, sharp images for a possible identification. From what I can see, it does suggest a Selasphorus (Rufous type), but that’s not much more than a guess. I’m going to run over there tomorrow with a big lens and see if I can nail some photos, assuming it is still present.

The bird was seen in the “herb garden”. If you go to the Inniswood Garden website linked on my blog, or just Google it up, there is a map showing the location of Inniswood’s various gardens.

Jim
