not my sighting; cross-posting info from Cincinnati Birds, and the Facebook pages Cincinnati Birders and Birding Ohio:

Andy Bess found 3 PURPLE SANDPIPERS at the south beach of Harsha Lake,  East Fork State Park, Clermont County today.  Frank Frick also saw them at 3:30pm, Donald Morse, Jr., had them at 5:30pm, and Bill Stanley got them at 7pm as the light was fading. Several other birders reported seeing the trio this afternoon also.  I know Donald and Bill got photos.

From I-275, take SR 125 east through Amelia, towards Bethel.  Turn left onto Bantam Rd, across from SR 222 South.  Turn left into the park and follow the signs to the beach.  The birds have been found on the rocks on the left (west) end of the beach.

Other birds of note include a Common Tern, Dunlin, Osprey, and a Bar-headed Goose that has been hanging around with the local Canada flock for over a month.  There were 6 Franklin's Gulls on Sunday and Monday; they were not reported today.

Kathi Hutton,
passing along the good news from Clermont County
