Hi all,

The leucistic hummingbird at Inniswood Metro Gardens appears to be a hatch-year female Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Many thanks to Allen Chartier for lending his expertise to identify this hummer, as he’s done so many times before.

I have some absolutely stunning photos of the beautiful little bird on my blog, that were taken by Bernie Master and Dane Adams. Thanks to these gentlemen for sharing their work. Also, an explanation of the bird’s identification from Allen. Despite yesterday’s frosty temps and early morning dusting of snow, the bird was present and active. Here’s the link to the photos, etc.: http://jimmccormac.blogspot.com/
