The juvenile Northern Gannet continued late this afternoon off of East 55th and west to Quay apartments (towards Burke). Major thanks to Jerry Talkington for refinding the bird mid-day. Upwards of 5400 Bonaparte's continue between Gordon Park west to Edgewater. Wendy Park was just spewing birds, including an immaculate white leucistic Bonaparte's found by Kent Miller and Ben Morrison. Red-breasted Merganser numbers are spiking, and Horned Grebe and Common Loons are staging in good numbers offshore. Birds are absolutely swarming and festering on Lake Erie now. The Wendy Park BLACK TERN was found by Mike Egar again today, setting one of very few Ohio late fall/winter records. A White-winged Scoter was with passing mergs off East 55th and 3 Black Scoters passed. Tomorrows front could offer incredible birding -- NNW winds 15-20 with waves of precipitation
