Arrived at Salt Fork SP this morning around 6 AM to go owling. While walking the horse trails, I was able to find a Northern Saw-whet Owl. Near the dog park area, had a Short-eared Owl hunting briefly, flight unmistakable. Around 8 AM I was able to coax out a grey Eastern Screech-Owl over in the area close to the marina.

Activity was high. 3 Dunlin were present on the beach near the mini golf course, lots of Ring-billed Gulls (shocker), a couple Horned Grebes... was disappointed not much waterfowl present yet. Ruby-crowned Kinglets in high numbers, same goes for Yellow-rumped Warblers and Eastern Bluebirds.

Happy birding!
