I spent several hours today birding around Mosquito.  I didn't find the snowy owl, but did see a nice variety of species, including: 50 gadwalls, Am. black ducks, n. shovelers, n. pintail, lesser scaup, buffleheads, 80 hooded mergansers, common mergansers, ruddy ducks, c. loon, pied-billed grebes, horned grebe, great blue heron, 4 SANDHILL CRANES, 130 Am. coots, Bonaparte's gulls, 2 bald eagles, red-headed woodpecker, pileated woodpecker, and dark-eyed juncos.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
