Fellow inland birders,

     From the south shore of Buckeye Lake, observed one *Male Common
Merganser *and one *Common Goldeneye* along with many Hooded Mergansers.
 This was in the Perry County corner of the lake, viewed from the end of Rt
2, Honey Creek Road, on the south shore.

    For me the Goldeneye was life county bird #209 ( think), and they were
both life county birds for my birding companion, Vicki Derr.

Good birding, and good Perry County birding.
