If you lost the objective lens cap for a Vortex scope along the Teal Trail, it’s now in the lost and found across the road at the Nature Center.

As for birds, the wind was keeping the sparrows down today, but there was a good variety of ducks on the east side of the wetlands. Dabblers included Mallard, N. Shoveler, Am. Black Duck, Am. Wigeon, N. Pintail, Gadwall, and Green-Winged Teal. Divers seem to be confined to the deeper pond in the southeast corner; today I saw only Ring-Necked and Ruddy Ducks, plus Redhead, but Bufflehead and Hooded Merganser have been there in the past week. Wilson’s Snipe, N. Harrier, and Short-Eared Owl have been reliable lately.
