Fellow Birders, especially the 6 or 7 Perry County Birders,

At 10:00 AM this Sunday morning, viewed three swans at Clouse Lake in
Perry County. These are the first swans I've seen there in quite some
time. Initially assumed Tundra, but upon viewing them with a Swarovski
20-60 scope (name dropping), I concluded that they were a family of
Trumpeter Swans with one gray cygnet. Having had a brief lesson from The
BirdChick,(name dropping), I digiscoped them and got a reasonable photo or
three which seems to show the head of a Trumpeter as opposed to Tundra.

At the risk of restarting a thread regarding countableness, I would
conclude that this is likely a family in migration. I would gladly send
the photos to anyone who would be interested, and will automatically send
them to Jim McCormac (name dropping) whether he's interested or not.

Hopefully, some of the other Perry County birders will get out to see
these birds and voice their opinion. One of these birders is even named *Swan
* , so his opinion would especially be welcome.
