The island is freezing in quickly.  The last ferry was this PM.  In
the open waters around the island are thousands of ducks.  Appears to
be mostly scaup, mergansers, goldeneye, and Buffleheads.  Was
surprised to find several American Pipits on the eastside.  One posed
on the telephone wire for a photo.
