Hi all,

Just got word and photos of yet another Snowy Owl, again well after the fact, on December 12 in Madison County. Location as provided: This owl was spotted on Rosedale Rd just outside Rosedale in Pike Twp in the northwest corner of Madison County.

A number of this winter's Snowy Owl reports have come from nonbirders, often with photos or excellent descriptions, but who did not know that anyone would be interested in the reports. As word of the owls gets more limelight via various media that often cite people or organizations to contact if an owl is sighted, these belated reports come in.

I think we're up to about 80 birds in 32 counties thus far. I'll update the distribution map and totals on my blog later tonight.

Jim
