We have birded the winter agricultural fields in the whole of south central Huron County for better than thirty seasons. This year is no exception.
Our explorations have yielded (what appears to be) a sizable increase in the number of flocks of Horned Larks throughout the area. Beyond that, the numbers of individual birds in each of these flocks appears to have a marked increase.
Just putting this out to see if there are others in parts of Ohio who may have made these same observations concerning winter birding activities.
