Hi everyone,

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced yesterday that they are moving, effective immediately, to implement a trap and relocation program to deal with Snowy Owls at JFK and other regional airports. The press release is here: http://www.panynj.gov/press-room/press-item.cfm?headLine_id=1874

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Snowy Owls Killed - Boycott JFK Airport

Hi All. Since JFK Airport is shooting snowy owls when Boston Logan Airport has demonstrated there is a non-lethal alternative - and that the owls could actually be scaring away other birds, it seems like there is a simple alternative for all of us - BOYCOTT JFK Airport. Don't fly into that airport. If enough people got on board - no pun intended - this could send a strong message.
