Yesterday I was traveling a lot and had an adult Bald Eagle in the fields
between the Kent State Trumbull campus and TCTC around 9:00 am. I also saw
a Snowy Owl fly over St. Rt. 45 on the north side of Warren, in the
vicinity of Packard Park. The bird was flying ESE, just over the rooftops,
around 10:45 am and disappeared from sight over the neighborhoods. It was
windy with light snow swirling about. One day too soon for our Christmas
Bird Count count week....

I was too busy to report this yesterday but wanted to make sure folks in
the area are aware of it. I honestly didn't think I'd see one flying
between "resting spots." Chasing the bird would have been futile with all
of the neighborhoods and I really didn't have time to do that. I guess we
should all be looking skyward as well.
