There was an open hole in the middle of the lake being used by
13 Swans. My id skills are poor, I think 2 maybe 4 mute, the rest I am
assuming were Tundra but I could be wrong and they were all Mute
A mix of Common Goldeneye (50?), Hooded Merganser (20?) and American
Coot (10?)
There were barriers at the entrance to the Boat Ramp and to the road
leading to the far end of the lake.
Huffman Dan Metropark: A flock of Canada Geese mostly on land and one
lone Mallard Drake and a few Geese in what there was of open water
A quick drive through Huffman Prairie was very quiet, 1 Red Tail, 1
Kestral and the car flushed something near the road in an open area....I
watched it fly away
for quite awhile and was intrigued and frustrated as its size, length of
wings and where it flushed from left me puzzled.
