This white red-tailed hawk has been reported in this area for at least a year-maybe more.

Thanks for great directions! I started going South from Medina on 71 and turned around in Lodi, and found a very large white bird within 50 yards of a Red Tailed Hawk just about exactly 3 miles south of Medina. However, I got very good looks at its head and beak, and I'm almost positive that the bird I saw was an albino hawk. It had no coloring whatsoever, and very hawk-like features. I wonder if it is staying near its mate (the other hawk)? I was looking forward to my first a Snowy Owl, but was equally impressed by a completely white hawk, which actually may be more difficult to locate than a snowy anyway!

I think I remember someone posting about a white hawk in this same area during the summer. Maybe it's the same one?
