I drove around the northeast Darby plains between Dublin & Plain City, looking for open country birds & Snowy Owls. I checked Mitchell-Dewitt Rd, St.161, Houchard Rd, Rings Rd, Carter's Mill Rd, and Hayden Run Rd. All had expansive open fields covered in snow, but had very little in the way of raptors, owls, or sparrows. Horned Larks were the only bird of note out here, with flocks of 20-30 along many roadsides.

I also stopped at Glacier Ridge MetroPark, Trabue Preserve, and Darree Fields Park along the route, and had some decent birds given the frigid weather. Glacier Ridge had a kestrel, lots of woodpeckers, a Towhee, and many flocks of Tree sparrows and Juncos. Trabue had both a Red-tailed & Red-shouldered Hawk, as well as more woodpeckers and sparrows. Darree Fields added little other than more flocks of Tree Sparrows and Juncos.
