Last night I heard what sounded like a Barn Owl. There was also a Great Horned Owl singing. I quickly tried to locate the Barn Owl sound, but it moved away and stopped vocalizing. My question: is it too early for Great Horned Owl fledglings to be around? I know young owls can make some horrible sounds (very similar to Barn Owl vocalizations). A Barn Owl would of course be spectacular...

Thanks for any suggestions or comments.
