This afternoon we were fortunate to see a Northern Shrike from about 20yds. away while we were sitting in the car on Messner Rd. The bird was located on the north side of the road in the small trees about 3/4 mi. off Prairie Lane. It stayed there until a car raced by driving the bird to the south side of the road where we lost sight of it in the dense tall trees.
