The Delaware County Bird Club meetings and program presentations take place
on the fourth Monday of each month, September through April, except in
November and December when they are held on alternate days to allow for the
Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Please join us in the City of Delaware
at the Ohio Wesleyan University, Schimmel-Conrades Science Center, Room 163,
lower level. Conversation and refreshments begin at 7:00 PM; the meetings
and programs start at 7:30 PM. Parking is available next to the Selby
Stadium on the east side of Henry Street and in the lot south of the Science
Center next to Branch Rickey Arena.



February 24th: "Impacts of Fishing Line and Lead Fishing Tackle on Wildlife"
- Christina Voise, Delaware County Bird Club Newsletter Editor.

     The impacts of lost and improperly discarded fishing line and lead
fishing tackle on wildlife will be discussed with a focus on the effects on
birds. Alternatives to lead tackle will also be presented.

     The DCBC Newsletter editor is a hopeless jack of all trades having
worked as a geologist, lab and computer repair technician, park ranger and
currently as a GIS technician managing the woody plants collection at OSU's
Chadwick Arboretum. With BS and MS degrees in Geology and a GIS certificate,
Chris is now working toward a PhD in wildlife ecology.
