Today around 4pm I stopped at this recently reported location for Snow
Buntings, Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs

=40.365277,-82.669252&sspn=6.8966,9.876709&vpsrc=3&t=h&num=10. Soltis Road
is a short, gravel road and the birds are found in the open fields at the
west end, near Rt 88.

Today I observed a flock of Snow Buntings that probably numbered over 200!
I took some quick pictures with my 400mm lens, which really limits the view,
and counted 70+ in just one frame.

of the cropped images you can see some all dark birds that MAY be Longspurs
- I did not list them but others have positively identified them among the
larks and buntings.

Finally, there are a couple images of what is attracting the birds - a
serious manure spread on the north side of the road. Mmmmmm!

If you want a "for sure" location, this is as good as it gets!
