I traveled to Mosquito Lake today in hopes of seeing the Long Eared Owl - no luck (I ran into another birder who had seen the owl yesterday but it wasn't there today).   However, open water near the center of the Rte. 88 causeway was teeming with waterfowl.

Gadwall
American Widgeon
Black Duck
Mallard
Northern Shoveler (one pair)
Northern Pintail
Canvasback
Redhead
