My Amish birding friend just called about a Eurasian wigeon that he saw this evening at the Mohawk Dam. For those of you not familiar, this is a flood control dam, and when the water gates are closed, water floods State Route 715. He was on his bicycle, and says to come up Rt. 206 from New Castle (on Rt. 36) and turn left. There will be a place to pull off, on the left of Rt. 715, before you get to the place where the water covers the road. He reported that there are a LOT of ducks there.

Good luck if you decide to go for this duck.
