Thanks to Jay Lehman for his post earlier this week.  Braved the roads and
the cold to journey to Deer Creek yesterday around noon.  Was rewarded with
great views of the male Long-tailed duck and the White-winged Scoter.  Some
other good ducks there as well,  Lesser Scaups and a female Red-Breasted
Merganser.  Got some decent photos of the Long-tailed.  Also came upon a
large flock of Snow Buntings (40+) along Deer Creek Rd? with some Longspurs
and of course Horned Larks mixed in.
