One Long-tailed Duck was still hanging around this morning at the spillway/raceway below the Deer Creek Dam. I did not see the White-winged Scoter but a fisherman described a large black duck w/white wing patches that sure sounded like the Scoter that he'd seen an hr before I got there...figures. This same fisherman, after asking me what kind of duck the Long-tailed was, said there had been 3 of them earlier.

I checked back a couple hrs later but still just the one Long-tailed. Only other ducks were Mallards. A couple great blues.

I did finally find some Snow Buntings mixed in with the much more numerous Horned Larks along Miller Rd outside New Holland. I spotted another such mixed grp on the way home alongside of Rt 22.

No longspurs but Tree & White-crowned sparrows were in the same area. And Song of course.

Another good day for Harriers, at least 4, poss 5, 3 males, 2 females. Quite lovely against the snow. 3 kestrels.
